Workshops, Seminars, & Classes
The following examples provide a starting point to develop ideas that would appeal to your specific
geographic needs. Everything depends of having a cooperative rink management that may even wish to assist it supporting programs that encourage off-ice activities that they can offer as another revenue generating opportunity.
Traditionally this is an excellent time for skaters to double or even triple the amount of time they have available to increase their skills and expand their physical strengths and artistic/performing abilities. This time is free from the stress of meeting a demanding academic workload of daily homework and preparing for tests.
Generally the availability of affordable extra ice time is more likely as hockey and public skating demand usually falls as the weather warms. After a winter of being cooped up inside, the opportunity to participate in outdoor sports and recreational activities beckon as Park and Recreation Departments offer activities to keep all ages of their population active and involved.
