Requirements ffor skating at different levels
The USFSA requires Synchronized Skating Teams to consist of individual skaters who have passed the minimum required MITF test.

Teams become more competitive as individual skaters pass more MITF, dance, and free skating tests that provide the skills to consistently perform at consistently high performance and presentation levels through out a synchronized skating program.
