San Diego Figure Skating Communications
Approaches for Off-Ice Seminars
The following is a list of seminar
topics for an audience of new
parents, their young skaters, and prospective judges hosted by the San
Diego Figure Skating Club as part of its 2008 Summer Workshop program.
Many clubs host such seminars
annually for new members so that they are
acquainted with the many facets of becoming a USFS member taking tests
and entering competitions. Because the local hosting club can usually
draw upon the talents and expertise of local elite skaters,
coaches, and judges, the cost is usually very nominal.
