Executive Summary
The Ultimate Recreation and
Fitness Center Inc. conceptual design is to be a full service
multi sport complex
situated along
major transportation corridor in a community of over 100,000 year round
residences. Ideally there will not be other
competing sports facilities within a 3 hour drive via an interstate
highway. This
plan will be used to define the scope of the facilities and services
included in the project plan, as well as a
means of gaining the necessary investments to open the facility. On a
continuing basis, the business framework will be used in the evaluation
of The Ultimate
Recreation and
Fitness Center Inc. mission, goals, and objectives to insure it
is meeting or exceeding its projected revenues and expenses.
The key to success for a new organization,
like the Ultimate
Recreation and
Fitness Center Inc., is dependent on their ability to develop
and market
effectively a 24 hour/7 day/52 week fun atmosphere where people will
want to assemble and
participate in a wide variety of:
- Organized sports,
- Recreational activities,
- Fitness and wellness programs,
- Artistic, theatrical, and social events.
It is vital to the success of such a
project
that facility management hires
qualified, certified, and knowledgeable personnel to staff, organize,
and run of in house programs and leagues in addition to leasing space
to not-for-profit organizations that sponsor USA Olympic venues.
The sports and fitness club industry is a booming business that produced over $10.6 billion last year and is projected to continue its current trend unless a major economic recession occurs. When the Ultimate Recreation and Fitness Center Inc. is full built out, it is projecting to break-even within 18 months, generate a net profit by the second year of operation and increasing significantly by the end of third year.
List the Objectives of BusinessThe main objectives for the Ultimate Recreation and Fitness Center Inc. include the following:

Sell 500 general memberships in the regrind Opening phase, 2,000 additional memberships with the opening of the first Olympic ice rink, and other basic sports, and gym/exercise facilities, excluding the indoor swimming pool, 1,000 additional memberships with the opening of the arena and second Olympic ice practice rink, and 800 additional memberships with the opening of the indoor swimming facilities. Total projected membership to met or exceed 4,300 members when the center is fully built out.

Organize and develop various sports leagues and market them effectively so as to fill them to capacity (i.e. seven leagues running twice a year with 8 - 12 teams per league).

Sponsor and/or support four community events in our first year of operation.

Show at least a 5% return to investors by the end of the first full year of operating the rink and the full complement of other sports activities, except for the indoor swimming facilities.
The Ultimate Recreation and Fitness Center Inc. is a multi sport and fitness complex designed to be used by the residents within a driving distance of 45 minutes. It is our mission to provide the best programs, staff, and equipment, to fully meet the various sports and fitness needs of our members, while generating a profit for the owners and investors.

Atmosphere of facility: By creating an unmatched fun atmosphere at the Ultimate Recreational and Fitness Center, Inc. facility through the use of green construction and operation of a first class state of the art facility that people will want to frequent often and provide an environment designed to enhance the retention of members.

Knowledgeable/qualified staff and management: By providing the users of the facility with knowledgeable and qualified staff who show genuine concern for the patrons, people will feel comfortable and confident that the Ultimate Recreational and Fitness Center, Inc. can meet all of their sport and fitness needs.
